Mark Zuckerberg

builds an underground bunker

Mark Zuckerberg

founder of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp owner Meta

is building a fortress to serve as a secret bunker for him in Hawaii

to protect his family in the event of a third world war.

According to US website Wired

the fort will be the middle of the Hawaiian island's perimeter and the closest large land will be 4,000 kilometres away, to ensure that the fortified house is not affected by any nuclear explosions.

Even the main gate of the fortified farm, the Koolau Ranch

will be anti-explosive in the event of a major global war.

The website said that

no one working on this project is allowed to talk about what they are building

and everyone working from carpenters to electricians to painters to

security guards is bound by a strict nondisclosure agreement

noting that different construction crews within the site are assigned to separate projects and prevent workers from talking to other crews about their work.

The New York Post reported that

the fortified complex consists of

more than 10 buildings with two central palaces that will be connected

by a tunnel leading to an underground shelter of 5,000 square feet

with an escape hatch accessible through a ladder.

The fort will have at least 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms

and will also have points from guesthouses and a set of 11 "tablet"

tree houses connected by rope bridges.

The fortified farm will be equipped with sufficient water

livestock and plant farming areas for food production.

Zuckerberg will be accompanied

by workers who will help maintain, harvest and care for livestock.

The fort is likely to be able to withstand decades of food

and drink so that those inside can live as long as possible.

When the war ends or the danger ends

they can come out and start a new life on Earth.

Zuckerberg spent $170 million buying land to build his fortified farm

which he, his wife and children consider a family home

a Zuckerberg spokesman told Wired.
