After being accused of antisemitism...
Elon Musk is changing his platform's policy
and clamping down on "Palestine backers"
Billionaire Elon Musk announced his intention to suspend any support account for Palestine using terms such as "decolonization" and "sea to river" on "X"
allegedly calling for genocide against Jews.
Musk Malik of X considered that the term "decolonization"
used by accounts supporting Palestine, "called for genocide against Jews".
"As I said earlier this week," decolonization "
" river-to-sea "and similar euphemisms necessarily mean genocide,"
he added in a podium post.
Musk stressed his intention to suspend any account that trades these terms through the X platform as "clear calls for extreme violence", he claimed.
This came after the White House
on Friday condemned what it described as the "abhorrent promotion"
of anti-Semitism by Musk, after adopting a post on the X platform.
Musk
expressing support for one account's post on X, stated that
"Jews use against white people the same hatred they ask people to
stop using against them", and Musk commented
on the post :
"I told the truth."
White House spokesman Andrew Bates accused Musk of
"abhorrent promotion"
of anti-Semitism, saying "we condemn in the strongest terms
this abhorrent promotion of anti-Semitism and racial hatred."
"We all have a responsibility to bring people together against hatred
" Andrew Bates stated.
In a new
development after both IBM
and Disney halted their commercials on the "X" network
pple Electronic Industries and Smartphones also decided to
pause all their ads on the platform, according to Axios.
The move follows Musk's endorsement of anti-Semitic theories as well
as reports of Apple advertising being placed alongside "far-right content."
Apple is a major advertiser on the social media site.
