Prosecutors offer Trump the chance to testify in porn star case

Prosecutors in New York offered Donald Trump an opportunity to testify before a grand jury, suggesting that an investigation into money he allegedly paid to a porn star could end with an indictment.

The New York Times and The Washington Post claim that

former US President Donald Trump was offered an opportunity to testify next week before a grand jury in

New York :

• whose investigation reportedly involved paying $ 130 thousand

• before the 2016 presidential election, a porn star

• called Stormy Daniels, who claims to have had a relationship with Trump.

The Times said that :

such offers by Trump to testify almost always indicate that

the indictment is approaching", and this would therefore be the first time a former US president has been charged with a crime.
