The Russian Ministry of Defence reveals who was involved in
the planning and execution of the "Northern Torrent" gas transport explosion.
The Russian Defense Ministry said representatives of the British Navy were involved in planning and carrying out the terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on September 26 to sabotage the Northern Torrent 1 and 2 gas pipes.
The Ministry of
Defence said in a statement on Saturday that "according to the information available... British Navy units were involved in planning and carrying out the terrorist act in the Baltic Sea on September 26 to sabotage the Northern Torrent-1 and North Stream-2 pipelines to transport Russian gas.
The Ministry also said that Ukrainian troops who carried out the terrorist attack against Black Sea flotillas and other civilian vessels using 16 drones on Saturday were trained by British specialists in the city of Uchakov, which belongs to the province of Mikulaev, Ukraine.
Last September 26
North Torrent 1 and Northern Torrent 2 were subjected to sabotage by detonating and decommissioning gas pipes.
The "northern torrent"
pipelines extend from Russia to Germany through the bottom of the Baltic Sea, passing through the economic waters of Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
The breakdowns occurred near the Danish island of Bornholm.
