Trump's White House staff are turning on him. He told them they were blown away by his ignorance and that he knew nothing about many things.

During a Tuesday morning appearance on MSNBC's Morning Joe to promote their book "The Divider," writers Peter Baker and Susan Glaser shocked staff by sharing examples of Donald Trump's complete ignorance of global events and even geography.

When asked about Trump's problems with past presidents

authors Jonathan Lemmer shared a story about the former president's promise to hand over the West Bank.

There's a lot about his meetings with Putin in Helsinki, his efforts to get out of NATO,  host Lemire began. "This address, which took my breath away when I read it at the weekend, almost abandoned the West Bank - told us how it could have happened."

Because there was more to discover, Baker acknowledged, we made the decision to write this book after he left office.

One was the great story where Trump apparently called former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin

  • At the Davos Conference when he met and contacted King Abdullah II of Jordan, he said
  • King, I have so much for you, I'll give you the West Bank.
  • Anyone who understands Jordan where the Palestinian population is a kind of turbulent force
  • In politics there he realizes that this was not something King Abdullah wanted.

Baker continued: "I told an American friend," I almost had a heart attack, it doubled, I couldn't breathe. "

He's gone where Donald Trump's worldview looks so superficial and transactional - and he'll simply give the king something the king doesn't care about.

He explains a lot about his foreign policy, which was very much based on someone who didn't spend a day in office before becoming president and had a lot to learn, he explained.

He did not know the difference between the Baltic States and the Balkans.

An assistant was saying that he knew nothing about many things, it was amazing for them even after they spent time in his presence.

Although Donald Trump only served as president for four years, his era and aura appear to last forever, unlike the leaders who assumed the presidency in a single term. His grip on the Republican Party seems stronger than ever, and his insistence on his superiority is unwavering.

He even refuses to concede defeat and believes that he has the right to continue as usual. More than one third of the population claims support.

His attempts to manipulate the 2020 elections were not the beginning or end of the threat to democracy described on these pages.

  • Divided authors wrote in their conclusion
  • Having suffered a defeat of seven million votes and two impeachments, Trump "came from that
  • The 6 January rebellion as the dominant force in the Republican Party. "
