She was 12 and I was 30. Fuss after Biden revealed one of his secrets (Video)
A conversation by US President Joe Biden has caused a social media sensation after revealing his friendship with a 12-year-old girl when he was 30.
Many social media leaders expressed concern and confusion after President Biden's subtle remark about his friendship with a 12-year-old girl when he was 30.
In a speech to the National Education Assembly, Biden, the nation's largest teachers' union, interrupted his climate change remarks to address a woman in the crowd he had apparently known for a long time.
Speaking about climate change, Biden said :
- Everyone found out there were not many climate deniers anymore.
- after this year's events, but guess what.
- He then pointed at the crowd, said in low voice
- "We have to tell me hello."
The crowd laughed as Biden completed :
We went back away -- she was 12 years old and I was 30, but anyway, this woman helped me accomplish a lot, anyway.
The crowd laughed again, although not everyone who heard Biden's unofficial remark found it so grainy, while conservatives on Twitter found it disturbing, with conservative podcast host Monica Crawley commenting: As dementia progresses, patients lose more of their candidate and tend to divulge the truth.
The executive producer of NewsBusters, Tim Graham, commented:
Why is Biden frustrating dealers (" You know right-wingers are going to tweet "Do you smell her hair then? ).
Steve Guest, Special Communications Adviser to Senator Ted Cruz, Republican of Texas, tweeted: "Oh my God."
Miranda Devine, a writer at the New York Post, asked :
Is there any context that exonerates this?"
- Conservative MP Nick Cersei criticised
- Biden supporters after comment
- He tweeted: "Democrats think this is normal."
