Donald Trump demands the Justice Department hand over some paperwork taken from his home in Florida and the Mar-a-Lago Club on Monday.
The former president responded to a Fox News report saying on Saturday that the FBI had informed the Trump team after the raid that some of the documents they had seized were protected by lawyer-client privilege in a post on Truth Social.
Unlike Attorney General Merrick Garland's brief statement to reporters last week, the Justice Department has not publicly acknowledged this information or provided any further comment on the investigation. Normally, the Agency makes no comments whatsoever with respect to ongoing investigations.
