White House: Zelensky should attend G20 summit if Putin attends
The White House announced that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should attend the G-20 summit on the Indonesian island of Bali if it is attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In a statement on Friday
the US National Security Council said :
"As President Biden has publicly said, he does not believe President Putin should attend the G20 summit while waging war on Ukraine."
If Putin were to attend the summit, the United States believed that Zelensky should also attend it.
had earlier called for Russia's removal from the G20 against the backdrop of its military operation in Ukraine
but admitted that other members of the group might disagree with him.
White House officials said Washington had unannounced Indonesia that it wished not to invite Russia to the summit, but the Kremlin confirmed Putin had received the invitation to participate.
Putin intends to attend the Twentieth Summit
Indonesian President Joko Widodo says Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to attend the G20 summit next November on the Indonesian island of Bali.

"This is possible and all possibilities are available"
Tavares said in a statement to the Novosti, asked about Indonesia's willingness to organize a meeting between the Russian and American presidents on the island of Bali.
