For the first time in two months... Low gasoline price in the United States

The American Automobile Association reported that gasoline prices fell by 4 cents after President Joe Biden's call for gas station owners to cut fuel costs, but analysts attribute this to lower demand.  The association reported that nationwide, average gasoline prices fell on Tuesday to $4.80 per gallon, 22 cents below a record high of $5.02 on June 14, noting that in Massachusetts prices fell to $4.85 per gallon, 20 cents below a record high of $5.05 on June 12.  California still has the highest price at $6.24 per gallon.

 


The American Automobile Association reported that the national price of gasoline fell below $4.50 per gallon, marking a two-month low.


The national average per gallon on Tuesday was $4.495, representing a nearly 10% drop from June's peak of over $5.


According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, this is the first time the national gasoline rate has fallen below $4.50 since May 16.
