Although chickenpox infection in humans is uncommon, because the virus does not spread easily among people, a number of cases have recently been recorded in the United States, Australia, Europe and others.
Health officials warned that more infections could be on their way to us. When people get sick with chickenpox, the first symptoms are usually similar to influenza, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The disease is similar to smallpox, which was eradicated in 1980. Chickenpox usually causes milder disease, but those infected may be contagious for two to three weeks of infection.
Under the growing cases of infections, British researchers from the UK's Health Security Agency have released six new graphs of skin symptoms that everyone should be aware of.
The images show the most common stains, rashes and pests associated with HIV.
According to the Health and Human Services Authority (UKHSA)
- "Initial symptoms of chills include fever, headaches, muscle pain
- back pain, enlarged lymph nodes, chills and fatigue. Rashes can develop
- often starting onhe face, then spreading to other parts of the body including genitals. Rashes change and go through different stages
- and can look like chickenpox or syphilis, before eventually forming a cortex, which falls later. "
The rash starts on the face and torso, then spreads down the arms and legs
Shortly after the initial stage of fever and fatigue, a rash appears on the face and torso of monkeypox patients.
- Infectious disease expert Danielle Bausch
- president of the American Society of Tropical and Hygiene Medicine
- told Business Insider that the rash starts with red spots that are eventually filled with fluids and pollen.
Within 24 hours, the rash can spread to all areas of the body, but it is usually concentrated on the face, arms and legs, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
Unlike chickenpox, chickenpox rashes usually affect the palms of the hands and soles of the feet as well, according to Bausch.
- Red spots become elevated and filled with pus
- The first stage of the rash is characterized by red patches or flat patches not more than one centimeter wide.
- By the third day of the development of the rash
- the pests turn into prominent bumps, according to the Centers for Disease Control. These bumps are transformed into fluid-filled vesicles by the fourth or fifth day.
Subsequently, monkey chickenpox lesions become sharply high and constant when touched because they are filled with pus. By the sixth or seventh day, the rash is deep-rooted and filled with an opaque pot tilted to the yellows instead of clear liquid.
Some spots will develop into what is known as a "secret-shaped hole". The pus-filled bumps will remain for about five to seven days before they begin to form the cortex, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
Patients describe monkey pox lesions as "extremely painful" at most stages, and can provoke itchiness during the exfoliation phase, said Andrea McCollum, an epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
- For comparison, chickenpox tends to feel itchy throughout the disease.
- Ape chickenpox rashes begin on course in 2-3 weeks
- Bausch said the ape pox pests will eventually erode, peel and heal.
Crusts usually form by the end of the second week of the rash and start falling off about a week later, as reported by the Centers for Disease Control. Once all the crusts fall, the individual becomes infectious.
As long as the lesions remain on the skin, anyone can spread monkeys through their sores and body fluids.
Bausch noted that looking at palms and plunges might help distinguish between monkeys' pox and other diseases that cause similar rashes, such as chickenpox.
Russian doctor specifies conditions for chickenpox
Dr. Alexander Myasnikov announced that chickenpox can be infected in case of contact with an infected person over a continuous period of three hours within one metre of it.
- On its Telegram site, Miasnikov indicates that the likelihood of transmission is very low.
- He says, "The infection of the disease is transmitted from one person to another with difficulty
- because in order for the infection to be transmitted from an infected person to a healthy person they must communicate for at least three hours and be one metre apart."
According to him, compared to people's smallpox, the virus is less infectious and the death rate is lower, about 10 percent.
He says, "Sometimes this virus infects humans - by biting a monkey, eating monkey meat, working in zoos, and by rodents (rats) that can transmit disease."
