The US president, Joe Biden, described his predecessor Donald Trump's MAGA movement as "the most extreme political movement in modern American history."

The movement, "Let's Make America Great Again", presented by Trump as his campaign address in 2016, is led by a former president, even prominent members of the LGBT community, including Richard Grenell, who in 2020 became the country's first gay official when Trump appointed him director of national intelligence.

Biden attacked the MAGA agenda, from economics to cultural and nationality differences, noting that Republican Senator Rick Scott of Florida issued an economic plan he calls the "MAGA Agenda," considering it "extreme, as in most MAGA things."

  • Biden warned that "LGBT students may soon face legal segregation in classrooms if the" abortion draft "is approved, and the implications will be wide-ranging."
  • He asked: "What would happen if a state changed the law and said that LGBTQ children could not be in classrooms with other children?

US President Joe Biden has called the American right-wing that embraces the ideas of his predecessor, Donald Trump, the "most radical political organization" in recent history, as he has called extremism on Trump's economic agenda.

Referring to Trump, who adopted the slogan "Make America Great Again" (MAGA), Biden said that "This MAGA movement is indeed the most radical political organization in American history, in modern American history."

Replying to journalists' questions about threats affecting the right to abortion after a speech dedicated to the economy, he said: "After the right to abortion, governors can step back from other achievements such as the right to private life, which is the basis of diligence behind the right to abortion and which the Supreme Court now opposes."

"What would happen if a state said that LGBTQ children could no longer go to the same classrooms as other children?" he asked.

Biden, who is campaigning for legislative elections scheduled for November, called the Republicans' economic agenda "extreme," saying they wanted to "raise taxes" on the middle class.
