Renovation works are far from Camp Nou.

Spanish club Barcelona announced their home games in 2023-2024

away from Camp Nou, which will undergo comprehensive reforms.

The club said :

in a statement posted on its website on Thursday that the team will

  • play its home games in the 2023-2024 season at the Luis Kompanis Stadium
  • owned by the municipality of Barcelona, before returning to
  • Camp Nou in a season 2024-2025

Barsa noted that its long-delayed project to redesign and modernize Camp

Nou will begin this year after getting the green light from the city.

Under this renovation :

the stadium's capacity will increase from 99 thousand spectators to 105 thousand

  • while the refurbishment will include the installation of a retractable roof
  • covered by solar panels, as well as several commercial facilities
  • including a hotel, an ice rink and offices.

Club Barcelona president Juan Laporta said the postponement of the demolition of

the third tier of the stadium would allow Camp Nou to operate

at full capacity next season (2022-2023).
